NEVER again will I do my own taxes. I am so confused that I have been working on them for an HOUR and I cant figure ONE part out!!
I give up. I will take them to H&R Block tomorrow and have someone do them for me. I don't want to screw something up and call attention to myself, I also dont want to cheat myself out of part of my refund.
I just DO NOT understand why this has to be so complicated. Its like they make it complicated so that you have to pay someone to do it for you. But right now I am so furious that I don't even care.
It might be an error on the banks part though. The problem I am having is with my Home form thingy and they normally send me a big packet that has 5 or 6 pages but this year they just sent me one flimsy little page, and that just isnt going to work for me.
I COULD JUST SCREAM!!!!!!!!
Ok, my rant is over, I have calmed down a little.
I guess that I should have done them earlier to avoid this, but I just got my W2.
Deeeeeeeeeep breaths.

ReplyDeleteI don't do our taxes but pay our tax guy to do them...but just getting all the things in order for the tax guy stresses me out! Every year I swear I'm going to keep things more organized, but every year...I fail. It's such a mess of papers to sort through. Ugh!

Yikes! Wish I could give you some sage advice, but I really don't have any. I always use turbo tax, but ours is really simple :)

We used a software program this year and it was super-easy! I can't believe we paid someone so much money last year. They have free online software somewhere. Good Luck with it!!
